Run or Walk to Home Base with The BoSox Club!

Have you ever dreamed of having thousands of fans cheering from the stands of Fenway Park while you run in from center field?  Well, now you can. This year they've added walkers - so you can now run or walk to home base! Register for the 9k run or the 3 miles walk by clicking Join Our Team, above.

IF YOU CANNOT WALK OR RUN THIS YEAR PLEASE CONSIDER MAKING A DONATION BY CLICKING ON THE NAME OF A SPECIFIC RUNNER TO THE RIGHT OF THIS NOTE.

ANY AMOUNT APPRECIATED!

This could be the most fun you ever had - running or walking - while raising money for our brave veterans struggling after returning from Iraq, Afghanistan! Many veterans will run or walk right beside you!

This is my third year running the Run to Home Base and I wouldn't miss this race for the world. The satisfaction of knowing that all our fundraising efforts are helping struggling veterans recover from combat stress and traumatic brain injuries while serving our country will make make me come back every year while I am still able to run or walk.

If you join the BoSox Club team and register by April 20th, you will receive a special BoSox Club/Run to Home Base baseball cap, appear in a BoSox Club team photo and get recognition on the BoSox Club web-site.  I will also send you a copy of the picture.  Two team members will also be eligible for a drawing of two sets of Red Sox tickets to a game later in the season!

Please join our team today!!

Thank You!

The Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program serves New England by identifying, motivating, and clinically treating wounded service members and veterans with combat stress and traumatic brain injury and their families. The Home Base Program serves the nation as a model for private-public collaborations as an educational resource about the invisible wounds of war that now effect an estimated 30 percent of those who served or are serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. We are also working on the development of new treatments or post-traumatic stress (PTS) and traumatic brain injury (TBI).

The 2012 RUN-WALK TO HOME BASE presented by New Balance is a unique and special event that celebrates our military heroes and raises necessary funds for the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program. The Home Base Program is committed to serving the needs of veterans with combat stress and/or traumatic brain injury and their families, but we need your support.

Your support to the Home Base Program will help to ensure that local veterans who served our country receive the clinical treatment they need for combat stress and/or traumatic brain injury, and that their families get the guidance and support they need. The Home Base Program also seeks to advance innovative treatments that hold the most potential for helping veterans with combat stress and/or traumatic brain injury and their families.

Help support our veterans by donating to my “2012 Run-Walk to Home Base presented by New Balance“ race entry.
